Scope
This policy applies to the RateFloor website at getratefloor.com. It covers the calculator, informational pages, and email contact channel. Third-party websites linked from RateFloor operate under their own policies.
Calculator inputs
The calculator runs in your browser. Income targets, cost assumptions, tax set-aside percentages, hours, time off, utilization, and occupation selections are not submitted to RateFloor by the calculator.
Those values are held only in the memory of the current browser tab. RateFloor does not use localStorage, cookies, accounts, or server storage to save them. Refreshing or closing the tab resets the calculator to its default example values.
Do not enter information that directly identifies another person. The calculator does not require names, addresses, tax identification numbers, bank details, or documents.
Current service list
This list identifies the services active for website delivery on the effective date. It is updated before a new advertising, analytics, or other data-processing service is enabled.
- RateFloor browser applicationThe calculation code processes inputs locally in the active tab. It does not transmit or retain those financial inputs.
- Cloudflare PagesCloudflare delivers the website and may process request data such as IP address, browser details, requested URL, date, and time for delivery, reliability, and security. See the Cloudflare Privacy Policy.
The calculator itself does not need cookies or browser storage to retain financial inputs. Infrastructure services may use technical mechanisms described in their own policies when necessary to provide or protect the site.
Information you send by email
If you contact [email protected], RateFloor receives the email address, message, and any information you choose to include. Your email provider and the service used to route RateFloor email also process that communication under their own terms.
Contact messages are used to respond, investigate reported calculation or data issues, maintain security, and improve the site. Avoid sending tax returns, financial account details, government identifiers, or other sensitive documents.
Messages are retained only as long as reasonably needed for the conversation, records, security, or applicable legal obligations, then deleted or anonymized when practical.
Purposes and legal grounds
Website request data is processed to deliver and secure the service. Contact information is processed to respond to a request and operate the site. Depending on location, these purposes may rely on performance of a requested service, legitimate interests in maintaining a secure and useful website, consent, or legal obligations.
RateFloor does not sell calculator inputs. Since those inputs are not transmitted to RateFloor, RateFloor cannot retrieve, profile, or share them.
Your privacy choices
You may choose not to send email. You can also clear the current calculation by refreshing the page or selecting Reset. Browser privacy controls can restrict storage or cookies used by website infrastructure, though some security features may depend on them.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or portability for personal data RateFloor controls. You may also have the right to complain to a local data protection authority.
Send a request to [email protected]. RateFloor may need enough information to verify the request and identify the relevant email correspondence.
International use and children
Website infrastructure and email may process information in countries other than your own. The protections and transfer mechanisms that apply depend on the provider, location, and law.
RateFloor is intended for people planning independent professional work and is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has sent personal information by email, contact RateFloor so the message can be reviewed and removed where appropriate.
Service and policy changes
Before a new service processes visitor data, RateFloor will update the current service list and relevant disclosures. If a future service requires consent or an opt-out mechanism, that control will be configured before the service is loaded for affected visitors.
Material policy changes receive a new effective date on this page. Continued use after a change means the current policy applies to later visits, subject to any rights provided by law.
